2. Sorting of hazardous garbage / 有害ごみの分別
Illustrated guide to sorting and disposing of hazardous waste(PDF:2,230KB)
Depending on the type of hazardous waste, there are different places and methods of disposal, and some items cannot be collected by the city.
3. Types of batteries and how to dispose of them / 電池類の分け方・捨て方
Please cooperate with the proper disposal of batteries.
In recent years, smoke and fire have increasingly been reported throughout Japan at waste disposal facilities and recycling plants.
In particular, portable rechargeable battery chargers and electronic devices with built-in small rechargeable batteries that cannot be removed are extremely dangerous because they may ignite or generate heat when excess force is applied to them.
Please refer to the list below to ensure the proper separation of batteries.
Battery type | Waste classification | How to dispose |
---|---|---|
Dry cell battery | "Hazardous and Other Garbage" | Do not mix with other types of waste, dispose of them in clear or semi-transparent plastic bags and label clearly as "Hazardous waste/有害ごみ". |
