Farewell Greeting to Mayor Takamasa Matsudo
Dear everyone,
Today, I have an announcement to share with you.
My term as a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) at Matsudo City Hall will come to an end on July 31.
Time flies so fast. It has been four years and eight months since I arrived in Matsudo in November 2021 but it feels just like yesterday.
During my time here, I have been fortunate to receive kind support from my colleagues at City Hall, members of the Matsudo International Exchange Association (MIEA), as well as many residents of Matsudo. Thanks to all of you, I have had countless valuable experiences.
Working as a CIR gave me opportunities to take on new challenges that I had never experienced before, such as conducting Vietnamese cooking classes and picture-book reading sessions. Through organizing Vietnamese culture lectures, I also gained a deeper understanding of my own country.
There is one thing that brought me particular joy throughout my activities. It was being regconized and greeted by residents when they saw me on the street or at events.
“I read your column every month.”
“After attending your lecture, I became interested in Viet Nam and am planning a trip there.”
Whenever I heard such kind words, I felt that what I did had been of help to someone. Those words always encouraged me to continue my work.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended my lectures, participated in my events, and read my monthly column.
I will always treasure the time I worked as a CIR in Matsudo. The people I met, the experiences I gained, and the many memories I created here will always hold a special place in my heart.
I am truly proud to have had the opportunity to meet all of you in Matsudo.
Thank you very much for everything.

松戸隆政市長に退任ご挨拶
皆さま
今日は皆さまにご報告があります。
私の松戸市役所での国際交流員（CIR）としての任期が、7月31日をもって終了することとなりました。
2021年11月に着任してから約4年8か月。振り返ってみると、本当にあっという間で、まるで昨日のことのように感じられます。
任期中、職場の皆さまをはじめ、松戸市国際交流協会の皆さま、そして多くの市民の皆さまに支えていただきながら、数え切れないほど貴重な経験をすることができました。
ベトナム料理教室や絵本の読み聞かせなど、これまで挑戦したことのなかった活動にも取り組むことができました。また、ベトナム文化紹介講座を実施することで、自分自身が改めて母国の文化への理解を深めることもできました。
活動を続ける中で、とても嬉しかったことがあります。それは、街中やイベント会場で市民の方から声をかけていただいたことです。
「毎月のコラムを読んでいるよ」
「ベトナムについてを教えてもらって、ベトナムのことに気になって旅行を計画しているよ」
そんな温かい言葉をいただくたびに、私の活動が少しでも誰かの役に立っているのだと感じ、大きな励みになりました。
講座に参加してくださった皆さま、イベントで交流してくださった皆さま、そして毎月コラムを読んでくださった皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。
松戸市で国際交流員として過ごした日々は、私にとってかけがえのない宝物です。ここで出会った人々、経験したこと、そしてたくさんの思い出を、私はこれからもずっと大切にしていきます。
松戸市で皆さまと出会えたことを誇りに思います。
本当にありがとうございました。
