As winter sets in, outdoor events in Matsudo City tend to slow down for a while. Even so, there is one event that takes place every month throughout the year, consistently showcasing the charms of Matsudo. That event is “Nice finds! Matsudo” Fair, known in Japanese as “Ee ne! Matsudo”.
Hosted by the Matsudo City Tourism Association, the “Nice finds! Matsudo” Fair is held in front of Kite Mite Matsudo department store on the third Saturday of every month. At the venue, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of attractions, including the sale of Matsudo’s local specialties, food trucks, and live performances.
The theme of the fair changes slightly each month to reflect the season or special occasions, so there is always something new to discover. For example, during Japanese leek season, visitors can find Yagiri leek or Ajisai leek, both specialties of Matsudo. At times, popular characters loved by both children and adults - such as Chi-ba-kun, Matsudo-san, Bakegoro, and even Santa Claus, make appearances and add to the festive atmosphere.

In addition, the fair sometimes features products and cultural introductions from countries with which Matsudo has ties, such as Australia and the Dominican Republic, offering visitors a chance to experience foreign cultures up close. I myself have taken part in activities such as an Australian slipper-throwing game, koala coloring, and a performance of merengue - a traditional dance from the Dominican Republic. All of which left a strong impression on me.
Food trucks are also an essential part of the “Nice finds! Matsudo” Fair. Well-known local eateries, along with selective food trucks, gather at the event, allowing visitors to casually enjoy a wide variety of delicious foods.
The venue is conveniently located about a three-minute walk from the West Exit of Matsudo Station. Even if you don’t live in Matsudo, we encourage you to visit once and experience the fair yourself.

冬に入ると、松戸市では野外イベントがいったん落ち着く時期になりますね。そんな中でも、一年を通して毎月欠かさず開催され、松戸の魅力を発見・発信し続けているイベントがあります。それが「いいね！松戸。」です。
「いいね！松戸。」は、松戸市観光協会が主催し、毎月第3土曜日にキテミテマツド前で開催されているイベントです。会場では、松戸の物産販売をはじめ、キッチンカーやパフォーマンスなど、多彩な催しを楽しむことができます。
イベント内容は、季節や記念日などに合わせて毎月少しずつ変わるため、何度訪れても新しい発見があります。たとえば、ねぎの季節には、矢切ねぎやあじさいねぎといった松戸ならではの特産品を購入することができます。時には、チーバくんや松戸さん、ばけごろう、サンタさんなど、子どもから大人まで親しまれているキャラクターたちが登場し、会場を盛り上げます。

さらに、オーストラリアやドミニカ共和国など、松戸市が交流している国の物産販売や文化紹介が行われることもあり、身近に海外の文化に触れることができます。私自身、オーストラリアのスリッパ投げゲームやコアラの塗り絵、ドミニカ共和国の代表的な音楽「メレンゲ」のダンスパフォーマンスを体験したことがありますが、どれもとても印象に残っています。
キッチンカーも「いいね！松戸。」には欠かせない存在です。松戸市内の名店や、こだわりのキッチンカーが集まり、多様なグルメを気軽に味わうことができます。
会場は松戸駅西口から徒歩約3分とアクセスも良好です。市外の方も、ぜひ一度足を運んでみてくださいね。
