Matsudo City is actively pursuing initiatives to enhance convenience for residents, such as promoting the issuance of documents at convenience stores, offering weekend services for change-of-address procedures at the Municipal Services Center, and advancing digital transformation (DX) by moving procedures and consultations at City Hall online, all with the aim of improving citizen services.
In addition, starting in July 2026, we will shorten our in-person and telephone service hours to free up staff time for planning and exploring improvement strategies, thereby further streamlining operations and enhancing citizen services.

Major Initiatives to Improve Citizen Services / 市民サービス向上の主な取り組み
Promoting the issuance of documents at convenience stores
To encourage the use of My Number Cards for issuing certificates at convenience stores, we will be reducing the fees for this service.
For the limited time from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, the convenience store issuance fee will be 10 yen. (Currently, as of April 2026, fees for various certificates issued at service counters start at 300 yen.)
And starting July 1, 2027, the fee will be 100 yen less than the fee for certificates issued at service counters.

Handling of Moving Procedures on Weekends
Starting February 7, 2026, we have begun accepting moving documentations on weekends (by appointment only) at the Municipal Services Center located in the building directly connected to Matsudo Station (8th floor of Atre Matsudo). Please make a reservation and submit an application in advance via the Matsudo City Online Application System. Details regarding reception dates and other information will be announced on the city’s official website and in the Matsudo City free paper 'Koho Matsudo'.

Administrative Procedures Guide Navigation System
In October 2025, we launched the Administrative Procedures Guide Navigation System. Users simply answer a few online questionnaires, and the system navigates them through city office procedures and required items and documents.

- As you answer questions about procedures related to life events such as moving, marriage, and childbirth, we will provide guidance on the “necessary procedures,” “how to complete them,” and “what to bring” that are tailored to your specific situation and family composition.
- The necessary procedures will be displayed in a list.
- For applications that can be submitted online, you can proceed directly from the navigation system.
- You can check whether you are eligible for exemptions, subsidies, or various services, such as free childcare and disability welfare services.
