Here comes Ha! January 2020 Issue

The Music Parade is my favourite part of the annual Matsudo Festival. The music and march made for a miraculous combination, and they conveyed a beautiful message about what humans can do through the power of teamwork.

This is the 3rd time I experienced Matsudo Festival, but unlike the previous years when I was just a viewer, this time I helped host the event with my teammates from the Culture, Tourism, and International Division, and other members of Matsudo City Hall. We overcame lots of unexpected stituations. Some people had to run around, raise their voices to guide others, and more, all to guarantee the success of the parade and meet the expectations of Matsudo’s many citizens.

As a person who has joined Matsudo Festival both as a viewer and as an organizer, I think the value of a festival comes not only from everyone’s happiness, but also from the hardwork of the people working behind the scenes.

舞台裏

私が松戸まつりの中で大好きなパートは音楽パレードです。音楽と行進は奇跡のような組み合わせで、チームワークで作られた素晴らしいメッセージです。

松戸まつりに参加するのは3回目です。今年は、例年のように音楽パレードを見る代わりに、文化観光国際課のメンバーと他の市職員とともに運営に携わりました。役割分担をしていましたが、急な仕事が数えきれないほど発生しました。走りまわったり、大きな声で案内をしたり、完璧な運営とは言えないけれど、児童・生徒さんの演奏が順調に行われ、楽しみに待っている観客の期待に応えるために最善を尽くしました。

観客側、運営側両方として松戸まつりに参加し、お祭りの価値は出演者と観客の笑顔だけではなく、舞台裏で働く人の努力にも存在すると思いました。
