Here comes Ha! January 2021 Issue

2020 has ended, but it held a lot of memorable events, some even beyond my imagination. A virus appeared, and almost all my plans for 2020, from travel to returning to my home country, were turned upside down.

From a person who loves to plan and follow plans, I became a person with no plans. But now, looking back on my 2020, I have actually done more than I thought. During the lockdown, I learned how to make bread, and even cinnamon rolls now. Thanks to corona, I have raised my hygiene and health awareness. I have trained myself to do at least 10 minutes of exercise every day. As for my job, I have developed an idea of supporting Matsudo city’s foreign residents in their efforts to make their own communities in order to help each other. To that end I spearheaded a workshop series called “Your Voice in Matsudo” in November and December.

“Adaptation” is my key word for 2020. Through adaptation, I became more creative, stepped out of my comfort zone, and still managed to achieve goals in my life and work. This 2021, I wish to become even more adaptable to situations and create more miracles in my life.　

2020年はたくさんの記憶に残るイベントがありました。あるウイルスは、旅行、帰省、イベントなど年間のすべてのプランをひっくり返しました。企画を立てて、実行することが大好きな私は、手持無沙汰になってしまいました。

しかし、2020年を振り返ると、予期していなかったことが出来ました。外出自粛期間に、パン作りを始めました。今では、シナモンロールも作ることができます。また、コロナを通じて、衛生と健康に対する意識が高まり、毎日10分間運動することを習慣にしました。仕事では、11月・12月に松戸市在住外国人がお互いに助け合うための「Your Voice In Matsudo」というコミュニティを形成することを応援する連続講座を企画・実施しました。

「適応」は私の2020年のキーワードです。「適応」でより創造的になり、自分の新たな可能性に出会うことができました。2021年も、人生に奇跡を起こせるよう変化に適応したいと思っています。
