Here comes Ha! November 2020 Issue

If you are a Matsudo citizen, I bet you have heard about Matsudo’s famous pears. Every year, once the summer sunlight softens, I always look forward to picking pears. I came from a tropical country, so where I am from the pear is an expensive imported fruit. But here in Matsudo, I can eat as many pears as I want, which makes me feel very lucky.

This year, I also planned to go pear picking with my friends, but unfortunately, due to abnormal weather this March right when the pear blossoms were blooming, this year's yield didn’t have enough fruit to sustain a lot of pear picking. I still went to my favorite pear orchard to buy fresh pears though. The owner was very nice. Although he wasn’t open for pear picking, he took me on a tour around the orchard, told me some daily life stories of a pear farmer, including all the worries and all the hopes.

Life is not all roses. Sometimes things don’t go well as one would expect, but these experiences still have their own meaning and value. You should treasure every experience in life.

秋の喜び “松戸の梨”

松戸市民の誇りである梨。毎年、夏の日差しが柔らくなる頃、梨狩りを楽しみにしています。熱帯の国ベトナム出身の私にとって、梨は高級な輸入品ですが、梨が名物の松戸に住んで、梨を気軽に食べられることは、とてもラッキーです。
例年通り今年も友達と梨狩りを計画していましたが、梨の花が咲いた時期に雪が降ったので、梨狩りをするのに充分な実がなく、直売のみでした。少し残念でしたが、梨園に行くと、園主さんがとても優しい方で、園内を案内して、農家さんたちの苦労、喜び等、日々の話をしてくれました。
人生はいつも順調で、うれしいことばかりではありません、自分の希望に反することも起こりますが、すべてが意味や価値を持っている大切な経験だと感じました。
