Having a walk on Tokiwadaira Cherry-Blossom Street

This is my second time enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms in Japan. It reminds me of the first time I saw those pretty and delicate flowers when I was an exchange student 3 years ago.

I still clearly remember that morning, overwhelmed with excitement, I rode my bicycle for nearly an hour to one of the best cherry-blossom viewing spots in the city where I lived back then. This year, however, it takes me only about 9 minutes on Shinkeisei Line to travel from Matsudo Station to go to Tokiwadaira Cherry-Blossom Street which is chosen as one of the 100 best roads in Japan. This is a tree-lined road starting from near Yabashira Station, runs past the front of Tokiwadaira Station and stretches to Goko Station along Shinkeisei Line.

I got off at Tokiwadaira Station and walked toward Yabashira Station to enjoy Hanami. Many cherry blossom petals on the ground, together with the tunnel of light pink flowers over my head, composed a gorgeous scene. I stopped by a lovely cafe with a large glass window, enjoyed my tea and quietly watching the street which sometimes had a shower of falling cherry blossom petals. And I love this kind of spring in Japan.
