Effort Makes the Flowers Bloom

One thing I love about Japan is its year-round flower seasons. As with every other region in Japan, Matsudo also welcomes beautiful flower seasons such as cherry blossoms in March, azaleas in April, wisteria in May, and much more. When May comes, sunny days become more frequent, and I remember a special flower season that colors only Matsudo in late May - the poppies of the Matsudo Edogawa River Flower Line.

From afar upon the riverside path, you can see the vibrant flower beds daintily flowing like silk in the wind. I head towards the sight, my feet nearly take flight - I want to take a closer look. As far as I know, for the poppies to have bloomed in late May, Matsudo citizen volunteers had to have been doing all the planting and cultivating since last year’s November. And now, their hard work has paid off beautifully.

The flower is a pure and beautiful creation of nature, but thanks to people, they bloom even more amazingly. Do you agree with me? Please come to Matsudo and enjoy this unique flower season.

努力は花開く

絶好のお花見日和でした

日本の好きなことの1つに、一年中お花を楽しめることがあります。日本各地と同じように、松戸も3月の桜、4月のつつじ、5月の藤など綺麗な花のシーズンがあります。5月になり、温かい日が多くなると、松戸を彩る素敵な花のシーズンを思い出します。それは「江戸川松戸フラワーライン」のポピーです。
江戸川沿いを歩くと、風にヒラヒラと靡く絹のような鮮やかなポピーの花畑を見ることができます。もっと近くで見てみたくて、花畑に駆け寄りました。ポピーが5月末に咲くように、松戸の市民ボランティアの方々が、去年の11月から種まきや世話をしていたそうです。彼らの努力が実を結びましたね。

お花は純粋で素晴らしい自然の創造物ですが、人が世話をすることでもっともっと鮮やかに咲けると思います。皆さんもそう思いませんか？松戸ならではの花のシーズンを楽しみに来てくださいね。
