Bring Vietnamese flavor to Matsudo

I have a big passion for cooking, especially those dishes from my country - Vietnam. Ever since I came to Matsudo, I have always wanted to share Vietnamese food recipes with Japanese friends and finally, I had my first Vietnamese cooking class this August. I introduced Vietnamese steamed banana cake and Vietnamese-style coffee. These two dishes have a simple yet very Vietnamese taste.

This was not a normal cooking class. This was a culture exchange event with lots of enjoyable stories and memories my participants had about my country. All of these things made this a cozy and delightful afternoon tea break.

Through these opportunities, I understand more about my job as a CIR which is to build bridges between Japanese and Vietnamese culture. I hope this event was the first of many more to happen in the future so that I can bring my beautiful Vietnam even closer to Japanese friends. What would you like to know about my country? 松戸へ伝えたいベトナムの味

できたてバナナ蒸しケーキはおいしいですよ！

私は料理が大好きです。特に自分の国―ベトナムの料理です。松戸市に来てから、日本人の皆さんにベトナム料理のレシピを共有したいとずっと思っていました。そして、この8月、松戸市でやっとベトナムの料理教室ができました。私が紹介したのは、ベトナムのバナナ蒸しケーキとベトナムコーヒーの淹れ方です。これらの料理は、シンプルですがとてもベトナムらしい味がするのです。

このイベントはただの料理教室ではなくて、ベトナムにまつわる楽しい物語や思い出を共有する、異文化交流イベントになれたと思います。すべてが温かく、和気あいあいとしたアフタヌーン・ティー・ブレークでした。

今回の経験で、日越文化の架け橋になるCIRとしての仕事の奥深さを、より理解しました。私の故郷―美しいベトナムを日本人の皆さんにもっと身近に感じていただくために、このイベントが今後のたくさんの活動の土台になることを願っています。ベトナムについて知りたいことはありませんか？是非皆さんのお声を聞かせてください！
