東京2020大会ホストタウンレガシー　Tokyo 2020 Games Host Town Legacy

Last year, we hosted the Dominican Republic Taekwondo Team for the Pre-Games Training Camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in our city as the host town of the Games. As a legacy event after the Games, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Japan gave a lecture, "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Legacy: Dominican Republic Lecture" on Friday September 30, 2022, at the International Humanities Department of Matsudo Municipal High School.

昨年、東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会にて、ドミニカ共和国のホストタウンである本市にてテコンドー選手団の事前キャンプ受け入れを行い、大会終了後のレガシーとして、令和4年9月30日（金曜）に、松戸市立松戸高等学校国際人文科において「東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会レガシー　ドミニカ共和国講演会」を実施し、駐日ドミニカ共和国大使に講演いただきました。

Ambassador Roberto Takata presented us with interesting information on various aspects of Dominican Republic, including its history, sports, events, and food culture. At the end of the lecture, the Embassy staff performed a dance, and the students commented that it made them want to learn to dance and that they were interested in the Dominican Republic and Spanish language.
We would like to continue to build on our ties at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

ロベルト・タカタ大使からは、ドミニカ共和国の歴史、スポーツ、イベント、食文化など、様々な面から面白い情報を教えていただきました。講演会の最後には、大使館の方がダンスを披露してくださる場面もあり、生徒の皆さんからは「ダンスを習いたくなった」「ドミニカ共和国やスペイン語に興味を持った」との感想をいただきました。
これからも、東京2020大会での絆をつなげていきたいですね。
